MIT Activities Fair, Fri Sept 1 3-6:30pm

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some volunteers to man the Lindy Hop
Society booth at the MIT Student Activities Midway on
Friday, September 1. The check-in and setup time is at 3pm;
the freshmen will start arriving at 4pm 'til 6:30pm. Rif
has volunteered to be at the later part of the fair, we
still need someone for setup and the beginning half (and you
can keep Rif company, too).

It's quite simple: you hand out flyers and let people sign
up for the mailing list. Unfortunately, I'm going out of
town this weekend, so we really need your help!

night. Don't expect to dance to Benny Goodman; Gorillaz
would probably be a safer bet.

This Saturday (May 6), Edgerton graduate dormitory hosts "La
Fete," a swing semiformal from 7pm to 1am. They will have a
live band, The White Heat Swing Sextet, playing til 11pm.

Pricing: Free for Edgerton residents and $5 for their
guests. For non-residents, tickets will be available May
2nd in Lobby 10, in graduate residences, or at the door ($10
for one, $15 for two).

But, if you are an experienced swing dancer ("a ringer") who

this Saturday. Specifically, I will be teaching a short

last lesson of their Lindy Hop series. This
intermediate-level class will build on the Lindy Hop taught
in the first two weeks. It is NOT recommended to attend
this class if you are a complete beginner and have no Lindy
Hop experience.

I need help carrying the sound equipment over to Walker
Memorial. Can anyone help? Meet me at the Student Center
around 7pm.

Would anyone like to teach a lesson (or a series) in the
