Impromptu Dancing, Stata Amphitheater, Thursday noon

Samantha Farrell (who has played at local swing and blues
events) will play a free outdoor concert at the MIT Stata
Center Amphitheater from 12-1 on Thursday (today) as part of
MIT's EARTH DAY celebrations. She has invited anyone and
everyone to come out dancing on the pavement and grass.

start with 6-count East Coast swing as a training dance to
learn the feeling of momentum and of lead and follow for
future lessons in 8-count Lindy Hop. We will also examine
the history and philosophy of swing dance, starting with the
singular fundamental concept of "joy".
