Due to construction in the area (MIT.nano), Building 13 is a
little bit harder to get to for visitors than before
construction started. Easiest is from Massachusetts Ave,
from whence you can walk an indoor route through the western
half of the Infinite Corridor, or walk underneath the
breezeway between Building 9 and Building 33. Pedestrian
access from Vassar St. is probably possible through the gap
between Buildings 35 and 37. From points east, e.g.,
Kendall T stop, your best bet is the indoor route through
the eastern half the Infinite Corridor. Here is a MIT

Toast to Tech! dance party Saturday

MIT hosts one more event this Saturday as the finale of the celebration of a century in Cambridge, which will include a dance party with live band until midnight. I don't know who is the band nor what kind of music they will play, but I encourage people to check it out.

We are outdoors in front of the Student Center this week,
not in Building 36 as previously announced.

At 7:30 pm, Ken will teach a beginner swing lesson. The
first part of the lesson will cover swing basics. The
second part will be a musicality lesson WITH YOUR MUSIC.
Bring a song you would like to learn to dance to (it does not
need to be a swing song!) on a portable music player, or
send me a Youtube link to the song, and we'll learn to dance
to it.

The location this week is outside in front of the student
center. The surface is concrete. The temperatures are
forecasted to be in the lower 60s. In case of rain or other
problems, (e.g., the electricity outdoors is broken) we will
be in Building 36, room 112.

Bread and Bones Tomorrow + Volunteers wanted!

Tomorrow is our biggest dance event of the year!
Information below.

We are still looking for some volunteers for some early
shifts 6:15 Band setup help, 7:00 Desk shift, as well as
late clean-up 12:30am. Volunteers get in free. Early shift
volunteers will even get fed pizza (tentatively from

Swing Dancing at MIT, Saturday, Walker, 9:30

MIT is hosting a swing dance as part of its "Moving Day"
celebrations, celebrating MIT's move from Boston to
Cambridge in 1916.

At 9:30 pm in Walker Memorial will be a free swing dance,
with live band: the Boston Jazz Orchestra.

"Jazz, swing, and Big Band: The 30s and 40s are recreated in
a supper club, complete with a live orchestra, and a photo
booth."
