The student activities fair for new students happens
tomorrow, Friday, September 1 from 2:30-4:30 PM in Johnson
Athletics Center (map http://whereis.mit.edu/?go=W34 ).
If anyone is available to join me at the Lindy Hop Society's
table there (Table #211), that would be great.
I'm realizing this evening that I am losing my voice, and
but might be useful to have someone who is able to speak to
be able to answer questions.
I'll have available all our flyers and signup sheets, so you
just need to show up at any time.

At 7:30 before the dance, Ken will teach a lesson on Balboa
dancing and blues dancing, two dance forms well-suited for
dancing in small rooms.

At 7:30 before the dance, Ken will teach a lesson on a topic
typically not considered dance: how to conduct a musical
group such as an orchestra or marching band. For

The purpose of the lesson will be to teach how music is
constructed and teach musicality, how you as a dancer (or
conductor) can interpret music artistically. This will NOT
be a traditional partner dancing lesson. (We will return to
